Writing a review people can use
What makes a review worth reading, and what gets it removed.
The most useful reviews describe one experience in enough detail that a stranger can judge whether it applies to them. Say what you bought, what happened, and what you would want to know if you were deciding.
What helps
- Dates, amounts and specifics rather than adjectives
- What went wrong and how it was handled
- Whether you would use them again, and why
What gets a review removed
- An experience you did not have
- Naming individual staff, or posting anyone's personal details
- Reviews written in exchange for payment, discounts or free products
- Abuse, slurs, or threats
Reviews are checked automatically and can be reported by anyone. A moderator makes the final call and you are always told the reason.
